Welcome to Shipibo Designs! We are a Utah-based family-owned business whose goal it is to spread awareness of the Shipibo culture.
Our Passion for the Shipibo Culture
In 2017, we ventured to the Amazon Basin to seek healing from emotional and spiritual trauma stemming from personal tragedies. Our experience in Iquitos was so life-changing that we developed a fascination with the Banisteriopsis caapi plant and a respect for the Shipibo culture to which we attribute our healing.
We regard Banisteriopsis caapi as a sacred plant and it is our goal to spread the spirit of the Mother Ayahuasca by infusing it into clothing which to help its wearers maintain a spiritual connection with this “plant teacher.”

Maintaining the Spirit of the Mother Ayahusaca
As the spirit of the Vine Mother is so important to us, we work to ensure that the entire process is respectful in order to retain the sanctity of the vine in our product. Our dyes are sourced from Shipibo shamans who oversee every part of the process from planting to harvest to extraction.
Sustainability
As the home of the Mother Ayahuasca is crucial to protect her spirit, sustainability is very important to us, so the vine we use is never uprooted, but instead left to regrow to full size in 3-4 years. Furthermore, for every vine that is cut, 4 new vines are planted to preserve the sacred habitat.
No Hallucinogenic Effects
Since the pure Banisterioopsis caapi vine contains no hallucinogens (DMT,) you don’t have to worry about receiving any negative effects from our clothing.
